Public Health
“Public Health” is an interdisciplinary working group with members from the fields of sociology and psychology as well as health and economic sciences; it focuses on researching health and wellbeing in various living environments.
The primary focus of the group is the workplace setting. As part of a variety of research project, both the physical and the psychological stressors of employees are investigated as well as any consequent health effects.
As part of these research projects, however, not only are conditions, effects, and influences investigated and analysed, but appropriate interventions are also developed, implemented, and evaluated. These measures may target working conditions or behaviours and generally fall within the categories of primary or secondary prevention.
